Yoga Pose of The Month ~ Halfmoon
Halfmoon is one of those poses that I think just feels good. It's not super challenging but difficult enough and it tests your level of presence. When focused and breathing evenly I find it relatively easy and when my mind is drifting no so easy. For this one it's best to have the base hand firmly planted on the ground, the top hand reaching for the sky, and the legs both extended as much as is reasonable. Keep the eyes fixed on the ground or towards a wall while aiming to stack the top hip over the bottom one and the top shoulder over the bottom one. Also, keep breathing, it's way harder to balance in any pose when you hold your breath.
Progress At Last
Progress has taken longer than I wanted it to but after stripping the bathroom to the bones I made a choice for my well-being. I hired part of my DIY project out for my own sanity/self/time restraints, even though it pained me in certain ways to do so. However, long story short the renovation project spiraled a little out of control spilling into my workspace, the farm storage room, and the rest of the main house floor. So after laying the tile in my workspace (which will be done by February) I threw in the towel and handed over the additional 800 sq ft of tiling over to a local guy, because honestly I hate tiling. I can do it but I wouldn't even say I can do it well so I let go of control, forked up some cash, and took the load off of myself. I'm glad I did because there's still loads of other things that need work like painting, patching, plumbing, electrical, etc. So now I can focus on the things I don't mind doing and wrap things up. Super happy with the work the local guy did A) Because I didn't have to do it B) I think it turned out pretty good.
